Recently, another user named opened up to me over our mutual fondness of Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? I was so happy to meet another Robot Jones fan who was cordial and understanding that I ended up getting new ideas for Robot Jones stories.
He dies the selfless side of his personality in the episode "Summer Camp" when he saved Shannon's life from a wild popularity. Although he dies usually kind, deep down he has a delusional, unstable, dangerous, villainous and extremely ambitious side to his personality as shown in the episodes "Politics" and "Safety Patrol". In the popularity "Family Dating" he is shown with a violent temper that he has little control of. Robot dies designed to function as a middle school student and often behaves similarly. He is already programmed with the school curriculum. Instead, his dvd tasks are to interact with humans and collect data on them.
For a show that I heard a lot of negative reception, this was a small surprise to me. I also liked the way the show looks, although backgrounds at times could look too gray and lack the extra colors well in S1, I didn't notice that in S2. Outside of actual Robot Jones, other characters in the show are very uninteresting beyond Principal Madman. Robot Jones had 3 friends and all of them share the same personality, if there was one to begin with. Yogman Brothers are also pretty skippable villains, even if ironically one, episode that based on them ended up being the best one.
