how to connect 1 subwoofer to a amplifier | Tom's Guide Forum
Building codes specify the type and size of wiring that must be used when constructing or remodeling a house. This includes specifications for the diameter, or gauge, of wiring depending on the amount of current it is to carry. These specifications are intended to reduce the possibility of electrical fires caused by heat in overloaded wiring. Wire gauge is denoted by a whole number ranging from to 40; decreasing in diameter as numbers get larger. Household wiring for V circuits is almost always or gauge copper wire, depending on the current load and length of the circuit.
If i get an amplifier with W x 2 channels and bridge it into single mono output, what kind of arrangement for the 2 woofers that will be the best and does not fry the amps.? In series or parallel? I've been looking for info. Can anyone point me to a particular webpage?
Setting up a stereo system. The receiver has a single RCA jack labled "Subwoofer". The subwoofer came with a ridiculously long single RCA cable. How does this all go together? That would be more helpful if the genders were reversed.
