Victims in the secluded communities are reportedly discouraged from reporting abuse, and are frightened they'll be shunned from their communities, with some saying they were sent to a mental health facility after coming forward. Former Mennonite and Plain People's Podcast co-host Jasper Hoffman says she receives 'hundreds of messages' from people wanting to share their horrifying stories or get help reporting abuse.
